The Lotus Trolley Bag is a reusable grocery shopping system that drapes over a standard shopping cart, replacing multiple single-use plastic bags. It includes four separate bags — including a large insulated bag — that hang inside the cart and can be packed and carried directly out of the store with no repacking required. It's the easiest, fastest, and greenest way to shop!

Spread the bags out in your cart to stay organized while you shop. At checkout, unload one bag at a time so your groceries stay sorted. The bags and rods are tapered — narrow at the front of the cart and wider in the back. Place your Lotus Trolley Bag in the cart with the largest bag in the back, closest to you, then spread the bags toward the front. Velcro connects the bags to each other so no loose items fall to the bottom while you shop. Once your bags are properly in the cart, tuck in any handles. Yes! We designed the Lotus Trolley Bag to make grocery shopping easier for everyone — including parents. All four bags fit in the cart when the child seat is occupied. If you want the bags to spread open wider, you can detach one bag and shop with three.

Yes! Simply slide out the rods and toss the bags in the washing machine. Wash on a cold, gentle cycle and hang to dry, then reinsert the rods. Each of the four bags can hold over 50 pounds. That's 200 pounds total per Lotus Trolley Bag set! Our bags feature high-quality double stitching, making them among the most durable reusable bags on the market.

Use the insulated bag to store cold or hot items for up to four hours — no more ice cream melting on the way home! To clean it, simply spray and wipe down the interior lining with a safe disinfectant. Do not machine wash the insulated bag.

The Lotus Trolley Bag rolls up into a lightweight over-the-shoulder carrier. Start by laying the largest bag flat with the Lotus logo facing down. Stack the three remaining bags from largest to smallest with the logos facing up. Grab the velcro tab at the bottom and roll up to meet the velcro strip above the logo. Our bags are made from strong 120 GSM non-woven rPET fabric — recycled from post-consumer plastic bottles — that is double-stitched, durable, and washable. The mesh component uses the same netting found in travel cots, ensuring maximum strength. The frame is lightweight aluminum.

Lotus uses rPET (recycled polyester from plastic bottles), organic cotton, jute, bamboo, juco (jute-cotton blend), and woven polypropylene. Each material is chosen for its sustainability profile and specific use case.

rPET stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate — the polymer used in most plastic bottles. Manufacturing rPET requires significantly less energy than virgin polyester and diverts plastic bottles from landfills and waterways. Lotus sources GRS-certified rPET to verify recycled content claims throughout our supply chain.

Our produce bags are made from polyester mesh and are double-stitched on the sides for strength and support. They're soft, incredibly durable, and feature a secure drawstring with a lock to keep contents safe. They can be machine or hand washed hundreds of times.

Our cotton produce bags are made from 100% certified raw organic cotton muslin — a natural, biodegradable material grown without synthetic pesticides. They're ideal for storing bulk goods, bread, and dry produce, and can be washed and reused indefinitely.

Yes. Jute is a natural plant fiber that biodegrades fully under composting or soil conditions within 1–2 years. Unlike synthetic materials, it leaves no persistent residue in the environment at end of life.

Juco is a blended fabric — typically 70% jute and 30% cotton. The cotton content makes juco softer and more flexible than pure jute, and improves printability for custom logos and designs. Juco bags retain jute's natural, earthy aesthetic while offering a more refined hand feel.

Woven polypropylene is a synthetic material made from plastic film woven into a durable fabric. It is lightweight, strong, and widely used for promotional and grocery tote bags. While not biodegradable, its durability means it replaces many rounds of single-use plastic when used consistently over time.

Bamboo fabric is made from bamboo pulp processed into fibers and woven into fabric. Bamboo grows rapidly, requires minimal water, and is naturally pest-resistant without synthetic pesticides. Bamboo fabric is soft, breathable, and naturally antimicrobial. Lotus sources bamboo fabric from certified manufacturing partners.

GRS is an international third-party certification that verifies the percentage of recycled material in a product and traces it through the supply chain. For rPET bags, GRS certification confirms that recycled content claims are accurate — not just marketing. Lotus can provide GRS documentation for applicable programs.

GOTS is the leading international standard for organic fibers in textiles. It covers the full production chain from raw material to finished product, requiring defined organic fiber thresholds, safe dyes and chemicals, and verified labor standards. Lotus can provide GOTS documentation for applicable cotton bag programs.
